Iota Alpha Chapter was chartered on April 19, 1935 in Knoxville, Tennesse

Eight men thoroughly immersed

Eight men led by Professor S. Herbert Adams were presented the charter. Charter Officers where Samuel Clark, Landon Porter, O.B. Taylor, I.O. Davis, Leon Nance, Thomas Jenkins and Clearance Kennedy.

The Strength of our Chapter lies In The diversity of our membership. We have Brothers of various ages and professional backgrounds in Military Service, Law, Medicine, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Technology, Finance, Politics, Law Enforcement, Education and Non-Profit Leadership. The Brothers of Iota Alpha are proud to be a part of the Knoxville, Tennessee Community supporting a wide range of educational and humanitarian activities.

Community

The Brothers of Iota Alpha Chapter continue to be at the forefront of community service and social action in the Knoxville community. Throughout the years Iota Alpha Chapter has shared the responsibility of leadership in the implementation of our National Programs.
